As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Director of Wholesale & Direct-to-Consumer to oversee product distribution, retail performance, and e-commerce growth, while also providing operational leadership across events and office management functions.
Role Overview
The Director of Wholesale & DTC is responsible for scaling the company’s retail and consumer product strategy — managing end-to-end operations from supply chain to sales. This leader will also oversee event-related logistics and internal office management to ensure seamless execution across all Giant Ideas verticals.
This is an on-site leadership position reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesWholesale & Retail Operations
- Oversee all wholesale partnerships, vendor relationships, and distribution channels for Giant Ideas’ branded merchandise.
- Manage inventory forecasting, purchasing, and fulfillment processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead retail merchandising strategy for fitness studios, pop-ups, and online sales channels.
- Negotiate pricing, order minimums, and vendor terms to maximize margin and profitability.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop product launch strategies and seasonal campaigns.
Direct-to-Consumer (E-Commerce)
- Lead the growth of the company’s DTC platforms, including Shopify-based online stores.
- Analyze sales data, conversion metrics, and customer behavior to optimize online performance.
- Manage digital merchandising, promotional calendars, and product content strategy.
- Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to drive customer acquisition and retention.
Event & Brand Experience Support
- Partner with the Events team to manage product and merchandising logistics for Fight Con, Executive Fight Night, and other brand activations.
- Oversee event-based pop-up retail operations and ensure consistent brand presentation.
- Support sponsorship and vendor relationships tied to retail or merchandising opportunities.
Office & Facilities Management
- Oversee general office operations, including supply management, maintenance coordination, and vendor support.
- Manage internal communication and ensure daily office operations run efficiently.
- Support HR and executive leadership with workspace planning, company culture initiatives, and event coordination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail, wholesale, or e-commerce management, preferably in the fitness, apparel, or consumer goods industry.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience managing multi-channel product strategies (B2B and DTC).
- Proficient in Shopify, Google Workspace, inventory systems, and CRM platforms.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with multiple growing brands.
