Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Business Analyst to join our team in Richmond. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between IT and business operations by analyzing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and facilitating effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Process Analysis: Evaluate existing business processes and systems, identifying opportunities for enhancement and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between business units and IT, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals.
- Solution Development: Work closely with IT teams to design and implement technology solutions that meet business needs.
- Testing and Validation: Participate in the testing phase of projects, ensuring that solutions meet specified requirements and quality standards.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, use cases, process flows, and user manuals.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
- Project Management: Assist in project planning and management activities, tracking progress and reporting on project status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment.
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in creating process models and documentation.
- Familiarity with project management principles and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques is a plus.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position, allowing flexibility to work both remotely and on-site in Richmond. Candidates should be comfortable with virtual collaboration tools and able to manage their time effectively in a hybrid work setting.
