Managing Consultant – Senior Engineering
Salary: $150k-$180k

We’re looking for a hands-on leader to manage a team of 2–6 senior engineers while providing strategic technical oversight on high-impact network and security projects. This role is roughly 80% leadership and project oversight, 20% hands-on engineering, focusing primarily on networking with some security and SD-WAN. It’s a 100% project-focused position that blends management and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale network and security projects, developing detailed designs that align with business goals, budgets, and operational requirements.
- Oversee network discoveries and security assessments, ensuring clear technical documentation and client presentations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, Project Management, and engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide hands-on guidance and advanced troubleshooting as needed (approximately 20% of the time), mentoring senior engineers and reinforcing best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance network security, efficiency, and reliability.
Ideal Candidate
- 8+ years of network engineering experience with a blend of management and hands-on technical skills.
- Proven experience managing small teams of senior engineers (2–6).
- Strong technical expertise in networking (Cisco, SD-WAN), security (firewalls, Palo Alto), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Comfortable in multi-client environments with excellent communication and client-facing skills.
