The Manufacturing Engineer will plan manufacturing improvements, solve manufacturing issues, and improve our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is motivated, self-driven, organized and completes all job functions with minimal supervision.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology degree, or similar relevant education is required
- CMM, PLC, automation, material bonding, and adhesives experience is a plus
- Experience with robotics, vision systems, or other manufacturing automation is highly desired
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Requirements
- Intermediate to advanced ability to create and manipulate solid models in a 3D CAD software; preferably Fusion 360 and Autodesk Inventor (latest version).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints; Including GD&T.
- Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
- Must have strong attention to detail and be very organized.
- Ability to work independently and closely follow procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Should have a positive and professional attitude.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Read technical drawings and ensure manufacturing processes align with these blueprints.
- Use measurement tools to ensure products meet design specifications.
- Design and implement solutions for existing and new manufacturing equipment and train staff on new manufacturing solutions.
- Design and oversee production of press tooling, fixtures, and other production equipment.
- Support maintenance in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
- Determine and implement solutions to prevent manufacturing downtime.
- Develop, maintain, and train operators on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other manufacturing process documentation.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, reduce cost, and increase efficiency.
- Research, validate, and manage the implementation of new manufacturing technologies, focusing on automation, adhesives, and bonding processes.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes and equipment comply with company safety and ergonomic standards.
- Develop and present justifications for capital expenditures (CapEx) on new equipment, tooling, and automation, including cost-benefit and ROI analysis.
- Act as the manufacturing lead for new product introductions (NPI), developing process flows, conducting PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and validating production readiness.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related quality issues, leading root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing permanent corrective actions (CAPA) to reduce scrap and rework.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions And Physical Requirements
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for short periods of time.
- Available to work overtime when required.
