Clinical Sales Representative

Alimetry is seeking a highly driven Clinical Sales Specialist who excels at cultivating deep relationships and expanding clinical partnerships through direct engagement and strategic referral networks. We're looking for someone who understands that sustained growth comes from fostering strong advocacy within the medical community.
In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in both identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing relationships to maximize test utilization and secure consistent referrals from key clinical centers. You'll leverage your clinical expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills to become a trusted advisor, educating healthcare professionals on the transformative impact of our advanced GI diagnostics platform. This is a dynamic position focused on proactive relationship management, driving advocacy, and accelerating our market presence through the power of clinical networks.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Relationship Development & New Business Acceleration
- Proactively identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with referring doctors, specialists, and treating centers to understand their needs and position Alimetry's platform as a premier solution.
- Present and demonstrate the Alimetry GI diagnostics platform to prospective clinical teams, effectively articulating its clinical value, patient benefits, and integration within existing care pathways.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on driving referrals and securing new accounts within your assigned territory.
- Continuously seek opportunities to expand the use of our platform through deepening relationships with existing and potential referrers.
Clinical Advocacy & Referral Network Cultivation
- Build and nurture robust, trusted relationships with clinicians, high-volume users, and influential referrers within established clinical accounts and the broader medical community.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource, providing clinical insights and support that reinforce the value of our platform and encourage ongoing referrals.
- Actively identify and qualify new prospects stemming directly from physician and treater referrals, collaborating with them to support these opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and Medical Affairs teams to plan and execute educational initiatives such as sessions, lunch-and-learns, dinners, and webinars, aimed at educating and increasing engagement among referring clinicians.
Account Optimization & Utilization Growth
- Monitor account performance and test utilization, identifying opportunities to expand adoption and drive repeat referrals by reinforcing clinical outcomes and partner satisfaction.
- Conduct strategic business reviews with key clients to assess their evolving needs, highlight platform benefits, and secure commitments for expanded usage and referrals.
- Address any clinical or operational questions to ensure our partners remain highly satisfied and continue to be strong advocates for our platform.
Market Insights & Performance Tracking
- Maintain meticulous records in CRM (e.g., Salesforce), documenting all client interactions, referral sources, sales pipeline progress, and key relationship touchpoints.
- Gather and report market insights, competitive intelligence, and feedback from referring physicians to inform product development and sales strategies.
- Analyze relationship health and utilization metrics to optimize engagement strategies and identify new growth avenues.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of progressive experience in clinical sales, medical device sales, or a similar commercial role within healthcare, with a proven track record of building and managing strong relationships with referring physicians and driving referral-based growth.
- A background in medical devices, diagnostics, or digital health is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales results by cultivating and leveraging professional networks and clinical advocacy.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, clinical credibility, and the ability to establish rapport and trust quickly with a diverse range of healthcare professionals, particularly referring physicians.
- Proficient with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and skilled at leveraging data to inform relationship management and sales strategies.
- Outstanding presentation, communication (written and verbal), and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role and manage a demanding travel schedule (up to 25% travel required for site visits, relationship building, and sales meetings).
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific, healthcare, or business field is preferred.
