The Xbox Membership Planning and Insights team (which is home to Xbox Game Pass) is responsible for driving more subscribers, engagement and monetization to the Xbox ecosystem and platform. This role provides an incredible chance to have a significant impact on a marquee service in a fast-changing category by providing deep business health insights. It is highly visible position where you’ll need to become a trusted partner and advisor across the Gaming organization. A clear track record of using quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive decisions and effective storytelling are a must.
The Business Planner supports the planning and execution of strategies that drive growth and performance across Xbox Game Pass’s diverse content and product offerings. This role is ideal for early-career professionals eager to apply analytical skills, learn about the gaming industry, and collaborate across teams to help shape the future of the business. This person will be responsible for driving insights and rhythms of business across Game Pass.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate expert understanding of subscription drivers, and communicate complex trends and strategic insights to influence business growth initiatives.
- Participate in the rhythm of business (ROB) processes by supporting regular business reviews, preparing presentations, and ensuring timely delivery of insights
- Own the creation, distribution, and strategic enhancement of recurring and ad-hoc business reports, enabling data-driven decision-making across multiple organizational layers.
- Manage and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) for Game Pass, providing advanced analysis and recommendations to optimize business outcomes.
- Build effective relationships with colleagues across marketing, finance, engineering & business organizations
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
3+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Effective storytelling and ability to communicate to a diverse set of stakeholders
- Track record of navigating ambiguity to drive outcomes and clarity by leveraging structured frameworks and quantitative and qualitative insights
- Proven experience in working successfully across functions and organizations, with ability to navigate roadblocks and challenges
Business Planning IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
