Role Description
We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer for a full-time position. This role is primarily remote, but you must be based in the DC area to attend occasional on-site visits and in-person meetings. The Junior Interior Designer will assist in creating design concepts, developing construction drawings, and space planning. Responsibilities also include sourcing and coordinating FF&E, collaborating with the design team, and supporting project implementation from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings (floor plans, electrical layouts, and elevations)
- Assist in the preparation of client presentations both physical and digital design boards
- Create mock-ups for furniture layouts and design elements
- Create and track client budgets, orders, and delivery schedules in Studio Designer
- Pick up and deliver materials, samples, and drawings to clients, vendors, and job sites
- Request and organize information from vendors and fabricators
- Assist with on-site installations, styling and photoshoots
Requirements
- Min. 2-3 years experience drafting in Revit
- Obsessive attention to detail
- Market knowledge with the desire to find new sources
- Some knowledge of millwork details, window treatments, fabrication techniques with desire to learn more
- Calm demeanor, professional and can-do attitude
- Work well both independently and on a team
- Must have strong organizational and communication skills
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Bachelor's Degree in interior design or related field is preferred
- Skilled with the following programs preferred: Studio Designer, Canva
