Position Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for owning and growing a defined portfolio of B2B customer accounts. This role combines customer relationship management, technical product guidance, inside sales, and proactive account support. Success is measured by customer retention, revenue growth, and the quality of communication with manufacturing and QA professionals.
This is not a high-volume “transactional” sales role—it's about being the trusted, go-to resource for customers who rely on King Tester equipment to maintain their quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Ownership & Customer Success
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts across manufacturing, aerospace, oil & gas, and industrial customers.
- Develop an understanding of customer applications, testing requirements, and equipment lifecycles.
- Maintain regular check-ins to ensure customer satisfaction, anticipate needs, and identify opportunities to add value.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Manage renewals, repeat orders, and upsell opportunities for consumables, accessories, calibration services, and replacement equipment.
- Identify new revenue within existing accounts while maintaining a consultative, relationship-driven approach.
- Prepare clear and accurate quotes, proposals, and order information.
Technical Support & Product Guidance
- Provide product knowledge and application support for King portable Brinell testers and related products.
- Collaborate with engineering and service teams to resolve customer issues efficiently.
- Educate customers on calibration schedules, maintenance best practices, and available service programs.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain updated customer records, activity notes, and pipeline information in the CRM system.
- Coordinate order processing, shipping updates, and documentation with internal operations teams.
- Track and report key account metrics including forecast updates, retention risks, and growth performance.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years experience in B2B account management, customer success, or technical sales.
- Strong communication skills—able to translate technical information into clear customer guidance.
- Organized and reliable with a track record of managing customers and follow-ups without heavy supervision.
- Comfortable working with CRM tools, quoting workflows, and basic industrial terminology.
Preferred
- Experience with industrial equipment, NDT/NDE, QA/QC, metrology, or manufacturing customers.
- Understanding of hardness testing, materials testing, or measurement systems (training provided).
- Ability to travel occasionally for trade shows or key account visits.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
