JOB DESCRIPTION
The Global Internal Communications Intern will help support the GIC team in all aspects of their daily operations. This role will be based out of our New York City offices to foster on-site collaboration and will provide a range of administrative and project support. Qualified individuals will have a passion for communications, strong core communication skills, creativity, a sense of curiosity, an eagerness to learn and contribute, the ability to work individually and collaboratively, and the ability to communicate with impact across teams and different levels of the organization.
Location: This position will be based out of our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY.
Salary: Compensation for this internship will be $25 per hour
Key Accountabilities:
Contribute to Core Communication Channels
- Assist the team in managing editorial calendar to track content for newsletters, email communications, leadership communication, engagement events, and employee sales.
- Assist in the creation of internal communication assets, including writing and editing content for newsletters, emails, intranet posts, digital signage, internal social media, and other communication channels.
- Assist in production processes as needed, including creating slides for digital signage, email creation, survey creation, newsletter publishing and/or intranet publishing 35%
Contribute to Team Projects Around Employee Engagement
- Support the planning and execution of internal engagement events, such as global and HR-focused town halls, Brand Immersion sessions, video shoots, and/or other activities.
- Support other key initiatives around employee engagement, namely DEIB- and employee well-being-related activities. 20%
Provide Communication Support to Business Partners Within and Outside of HR
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as HR, Marketing and Retail to support various projects and initiatives. In particular, work closely with other HR interns in support of shared goals.
- Assist on and gain insight into Marketing 360 briefs on key brand moments. Provide advice and help create our Internal Communications’ plans in support of these initiatives, and gain insights into other teams’ go-live cadence and deliverables (Marketing, Social, Tiffany.com, Email, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in BA/BS degree or 2025 graduate
- Strong interest in corporate communications, particularly internal communications
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, dependable self-starter with experience working on multiple projects concurrently in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with digital tools, including content management systems; newsletter editors; survey tools; Outlook; the MS 365 suite, with emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint; and Adobe applications, with particular emphasis on Photoshop, a strong plus.
