Essential Job Functions

Maintain basic financial records and files.
Prepare simple financial reports and routine presentations.
Support the Finance and Accounting Division in maintaining accounting records and account balances in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Perform reconciliations of budgetary and proprietary accounts, general ledgers and subsidiary ledger accounts.
Provide routine maintenance and Help Desk support as required for financial systems.
Provide support to the Finance and Accounting Division in preparing Agency financial statements, footnotes and supporting documentation.

Skills

Ability to understand general business operations and follow financial guidelines and accounting rules.
Able to assess products and procedures for compliance and Government standards and sound financial management principles.
Ability to differentiate and work with various appropriations.
Understanding and compliance with Government standards, accounting principles and system application standards.

Qualifications

Associate Degree or 2 years of experience may be substituted for an Associate degree.

Minimum 4 years of experience in performing business and/or financial management tasks.

Qualify for a Secret security clearance or higher
