Our client a non-profit up in Lawrence, MA is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Compliance & Billing Manager to oversee child care and transportation billing, internal controls, and audit readiness. This direct hire role plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely payments within the states child care financial assistance programs.
This would be permanent hire in-office Mon-Fri traditional office hours position and the client is looking to start the interview process after the holidays. The traditional move quickly through the interview process and the chosen candidate would have to pass a background check prior to starting there.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee child care and transportation billing, including educator and driver reimbursements and parent fee collections.
- Conduct eligibility assessments, secondary reviews, and internal audits in accordance with state regulations.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial and compliance records while strengthening internal controls.
- Generate, analyze, and validate reports and dashboards using software systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure the accuracy of billing, attendance, and reimbursement data.
- Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of billing systems and operational processes.
- Develop training materials and provide guidance to support quality assurance across staff and client interactions.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Massachusetts child care financial assistance programs strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in billing, compliance, auditing, accounting, or related financial operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
