Job Overview: As the Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all engineering activities within the company. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure the successful design, development, and implementation of products. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
- Prioritize projects within the department and allocate staff and resources as necessary
- Work as the liaison between engineering and all other departments
- Work with sales to define engineering projects as they relate to new product design and provide estimation on engineering hours required
- Establish and maintain design standards for the department
- Manage resources needed to support engineering functions; including researching new technologies to advance the department
- Document and follow up on internal change order requests
- Regularly communicate with engineering staff to ensure consistent and accurate completion of tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven experience (3 years) in a leadership role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
- Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and other engineering software applications.
