With nearly 10,000 square feet of display space, our showroom reflects the casual yet elegant South Florida lifestyle. We offer a thoughtfully curated collection of fine furniture and home decor to help our client’s achieve their dream interior. Our team works closely with each client to create a one-of-a-kind space—blending their existing pieces with our new exquisite furnishings, lighting, fabrics, wall coverings, floor coverings, and window treatments to achieve their individual style and budget.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified, experienced home furnishings sales professional and designer with a passion for decorating, retail sales and working with up-scale clients. We place value on teamwork but with personal motivation and drive to work independently, as well as a positive attitude and ability to learn and work in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate’s qualifications are:
· Proven furniture sales experience giving personalized customer service recommendations;
· Ability to collaborate with a variety of up-scale, knowledgeable clients to understand their design preferences and offer tailored solutions;
· Capacity to make each customer’s shopping experience match their needs, wants and desires and to turn that knowledge into a living environment that is uniquely theirs;
· Exceptional communication and sales skills to establish a trusted relationship with client by actively reinforcing their selections while leading them to complete the room;
· A thorough knowledge of the products in our store and vendors we work with;
· High level of creativity, organization and “thinking on their feet”;
· Possess the passion and ability to embrace the “Patrick Day Way” of merchandizing, developing client relationships, selling and design aesthetic;
· Work with a variety of co-workers, sales representatives and the general public.
Position Requirements
· Basic computer knowledge, word processing and ability to learn point-of-purchase check out;
· Must be able to read “to scale” floor plans, use an architectural ruler, and draw the same, to scale, as needed;
· A creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional design solutions and unparalleled customer service;
· An comprehension of basic design functions including space planning, fabric selection, lighting and design styles;
· A keen eye for color, size and scale with exceptional attention to detail;
· Actively listen to customers to identify proper product offerings to meet their needs;
· Knowledge of window treatment options and logistics is a positive;
· Willingness to perform a variety of task, including paperwork, organizing samples and materials library, light cleaning and help other members of the team to accomplish their work when in a pinch;
· Ability to lift small to medium items up to 40 lbs; position also may entail periods of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing;
· Willingness to use personal vehicle when needed for business purposes;
· Must be willing to work Saturdays.
