Position Overview
The Accounting Clerk is an entry-level role designed for individuals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to grow a long-term career in accounting. This position provides hands-on exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and corporate accounting operations.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to advance within the Accounting Department based on performance, with clear pathways to Accounting Specialist, Staff Accountant, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Support
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Enter invoices, payments, and journal data accurately into accounting systems
- Support bank, credit card, and POS reconciliations
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with monthend close activities as assigned
Administrative & Team Support
- Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments
- Assist Accounting Manager and Senior Accountants with special projects
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Support process improvement and documentation efforts

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 02 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced corporate environment
- Professional communication and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Experience with accounting software (Sage, Sage 50, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Experience in a multiunit, restaurant, or retail environment
- Interest in longterm career growth in accounting
Schedule & Work Environment
- Fulltime, MondayFriday, sometimes and very seldom on weekends depending on deadlines
- Onsite corporate office environment
- Overtime eligible as required during peak accounting periods
Compensation Transparency (Colorado-Compliant)
Hourly Pay Range
$20.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and qualifications
This range complies with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and reflects the expected pay for this role in the Denver Metro market.
