Rossmönster is seeking an Junior Design Engineer to help turn concepts into production-ready designs. This role is ideal for a curious, collaborative engineer with 2+ years of experience who enjoys working closely with the shop floor and seeing designs come to life. Autodesk Inventor will be your primary tool as you support projects from early design through manufacturing.
What You’ll Do
CAD Design & Technical Documentation
- Create and refine detailed 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor
- Build and maintain robust parametric models that are easy to update and reuse
- Produce clear, accurate technical drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication notes
- Maintain organized CAD data and version control using PDM/PLM tools (Autodesk Vault experience preferred)
- Iterate designs based on feedback from manufacturing and senior engineers
Manufacturing & CAM Support
- Design parts with real-world manufacturing constraints in mind
- Support CNC and fabrication teams through clean, manufacturable designs
- Collaborate with CAM programmers, machinists, and installers
- Contribute ideas to improve design-to-manufacturing workflows

Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor as a primary CAD tool
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design with a mechanical focus)
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, engineering, or a similar technical role
Nice to Have (Preferred, Not Required)
- Hands-on experience building or fabricating products
- Experience producing 2D drawings from 3D models, including basic GD&T
- Familiarity with machining, welding, sheet metal, and assemblies
- Experience with additional CAD/CAM tools (Fusion 360, SolidWorks)
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
Logistics
- Onsite Monday – Thursday 4/10's
- Evening or weekend work is not routine, but may be required on a limited basis for launches or special events.
