Autotool is currently accepting resumes for a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. The Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and evaluation of mechanical systems by developing conceptual layouts, product specifications, and tooling design and modeling, while working with manufacturing personnel and customers in a team environment in order to develop state of the art automated manufacturing systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design of robotic automation systems and components in 3D environment
- Identify, formulate and execute solutions to complex manufacturing problems, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Develop and troubleshoot factory automation equipment
- Engage in smart manufacturing process development
- Conduct design reviews with internal and external customers
- Prepare and build customer documentation packages
- Prepare drawings for in- house and outsourced manufacturing.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be a permanent US resident, we are unable to sponsor visas
- SolidWorks, Catia 3D modeling experience is a MUST
- Experience using defined GD & T to develop part datum template schemes
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 1 years' experience with design of equipment for use in a manufacturing environment and automated machinery
