SCS Cabinets is a manufacturer of high-end kitchen, bath, and specialty cabinetry, primarily serving custom home builders and contractors. Our office, design, and manufacturing teams work collaboratively to design, engineer, produce, and install custom cabinetry that reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, service, and excellence.
We are seeking a highly experienced Cabinet Designer to join our Design Division. This role requires advanced proficiency in both 2020 Design and Mozaik software, with a strong emphasis on production-ready design, CNC integration, and builder account management. The ideal candidate will serve as both a designer and an account manager for assigned builder partners, owning projects from initial concept through production release.
Design & Engineering
- Design cabinetry using both 2020 Design and Mozaik software for residential or commercial kitchen, bath, and specialty spaces.
- Produce accurate, production-ready cabinet designs that align with SCS Cabinets’ construction standards and quality requirements.
- Generate Mozaik cut files and G-Code and push files to CNC routers for manufacturing.
- Create detailed shop drawings, construction documents, and CNC-ready files for production.
- Ensure all designs are feasible, accurate, and optimized for efficient shop production.
- Order RTA (box) cabinets from SCS partners based on 2020 Designs.
Builder Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact and account manager for assigned builder accounts.
- Collaborate closely with builders, project managers, and internal teams to manage expectations, schedules, and design deliverables.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with builder partners throughout the design and production process.
- Support long-term builder relationships through reliability, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional cabinet design experience.
- Advanced proficiency in both 2020 Design and Mozaik software (required).
- Demonstrated experience generating cut files and G-Code in Mozaik for CNC routers.
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Strong creative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans, construction documents, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: $49,569.97 - $59,697.17 per year
