Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative HVAC Design Engineer to join our engineering team. Duties
- Develop detailed HVAC system designs using CAD software such as AutoCad to create precise mechanical layouts and schematics.
- Conduct system simulations and analyses utilizing TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP to validate design performance under different conditions.
- Apply ASHRAE codes & standards to ensure all designs comply with industry safety and quality regulations.
- Perform root cause analysis on system failures or inefficiencies to identify improvements and optimize system performance.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including schematics, CAD drawings, and system design reports for client review and regulatory approval.
- Engage in mechanical knowledge sharing by reviewing mechanical design aspects related to HVAC components and systems.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications in HVAC or system design are a plus.
- Proven 6 years of HVAC design experience.
- Familiarity with industry standards including ASHRAE codes & standards relevant to HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of system simulation tools like TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP software for performance analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis on complex mechanical or system issues.
- Ability to manage multiple projects through effective project scheduling techniques while maintaining attention to detail.
