About the Opportunity
Team members work with a wide range of clients, including homeowners, general contractors, architects, interior designers, and walk-in customers. In-house guidance is provided on cabinet and stone design fundamentals, and team members collaborate closely with experienced designers, operations, and leadership to create solutions for our customers. We manufacture our own products and are able to offer customized solutions to solve challenging remodel and renovation obstacles.
Candidates with prior cabinet, kitchen, or interior design experience may qualify for higher starting compensation and faster advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage and support customers throughout the sales and design process
- Work with homeowners, contractors, architects, interior designers, and general inquiries to establish trust and earn the business
- Provide solutions to meet customer needs; surprise and delight by offering ideas they may not have considered, leveraging market trends, new product information, and design-based thinking
- Assist with cabinet and stone selections and basic layout planning
- Prepare error-free estimates, proposals, and pricing; convert quote to order
- Actively manage follow-up, leads, and customer pipeline
- Close sales and meet defined performance expectations
- Collaborate with designers, operations, and leadership
- Consistently deliver a professional, welcoming, memorable, and high-touch customer experience
- Maintain accurate customer records and communication
Qualifications
- Experience in sales, customer service, or design-related roles
- Able to effectively communicate technical ideas and processes with homeowners, general contractors, interior designers, and walk-in customers
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Ability to build rapport by establishing a good first impression and building trust by exhibiting our values
- Dependable, reliable, and consistent work ethic
- Highly coachable with a willingness to learn and improve
- Strong verbal communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- True sales hunter mindset with strong follow-up and closing ability
- Detail and action-oriented and accountable
- Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in both English and Spanish
Preferred but Not Required
- Previous kitchen, cabinet, and/or interior design experience
- Custom design experience is a plus!
- Experience working with contractors, designers, or architects
- Familiarity with design or quoting tools
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary ($50 to $75k, based in part on experience)
