Mechanical Automation Engineer
Advanced Machine Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical / Automation Engineer to join our growing team. We are an established control systems and automated equipment OEM with over 26 years of successful projects in various industries. Our main office is located in the scenic North Georgia area, offering a low cost of living and an excellent quality of life.
Position Overview
This role is a true engineering position focused on the design, development, testing, and startup of automated equipment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Design utilizing 3D modeling software
- Electrical control panel and system design utilizing CAD
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automated systems
- Support in-house testing and on-site equipment startup
- Maintain accurate and complete project documentation
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary engineering team
- Travel as required for on-site support and startups
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
(Associate degree or relevant technical degree with applicable experience will be considered)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in automation and controls and/or mechanical design
- Experience in a professional design environment, including document control procedures
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with project management capabilities
- Self-driven, motivated, and committed to engineering excellence
- Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a group setting
- Experience in a traditional engineering or construction environment is a plus
- PLC, HMI, and servo programming
- Process piping design with 3D CAD experience
- Mechanical device design
- Opportunity available to pursue Professional Engineering (PE) licensure

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
