AV Design Engineer Houston, TX The AV Design Engineer is responsible for designing, specifying, and documenting audio-visual systems that meet client needs and project requirements. This role works closely with sales, project managers, and installation teams to deliver high-quality, reliable AV solutions for corporate and industrial commercial environments.
AV Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Design complete AV systems including audio, video, control, and networking components.
- Prepare estimates based on floor plans and client meetings.
- Develop equipment lists, bills of materials ensure technical specifications make a complete system.
- Support sales and project teams with technical expertise.
- Conduct site surveys and meet with clients to do a needs analysis.
AV Design Engineer Requirements:
- 3+ years of AV system design or integration experience.
- Strong knowledge of audio, video, control, and networking systems.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
- Ability to read architectural and construction drawings.
- CTS Certification, CTS-D preferred
