Our brand presence is polished and elevated, so now we’re expanding how that story shows up across social media, with a particular focus on launching TikTok from the ground up.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a savvy, creative, and culture-aware Social Media Coordinator to grow our presence across platforms. This entry-level role is perfect for someone who understands how different platforms speak different languages. Someone who has a strong sense of storytelling, and knows how to adapt content into scroll-stopping, platform-specific videos. You’ll work with existing content, create original ideas, and help define how our brand shows up in a fresh, real, and engaging way. You’ll work closely with our Media Director to help execute content strategy, repurpose existing assets, capture behind-the-scenes moments, and experiment with fresh, platform-native ideas. While TikTok will be a major focus, this role supports our broader social ecosystem and helps ensure our brand shows up consistently, creatively, and authentically across channels.
Responsibilities:
- Support and manage day-to-day content across social platforms, with a primary focus on TikTok growth and support for Instagram.
- Rework and edit existing footage for various social media platforms.
- Conceptualize and execute new video ideas aligned with trending sounds, formats, and best practices.
- Film behind the scenes content using iPhone (in office or on-site at select events)
- Stay up to date on social trends, algorithms, and evolving content formats.
- Collaborate with our Media Director to maintain brand alignment while crafting the voice.
- Test, learn, and iterate based on analytics and engagement performance.
- Actively engage with followers, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a sense of community around the On The Move company.
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram, including trends and algorithms.
- Basic filming and editing skills using iPhone and TikTok or mobile editing tools (CapCut, etc.) Experience with Premiere Pro is a plus!
- A strong sense of humor, storytelling, and timing.
- Creative thinker with the ability to pitch and execute fresh ideas.
- Interest in or experience with live music, entertainment, and events.
- Analyze video performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve engagement and reach.
- Comfortable being on-site and capturing content in real time if needed.
- Must be based in NYC and available to work 3-4 days per week in our Nomad office.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
