An international automation systems company in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support their operations. The ideal candidate will be highly familiar with industrial control systems (PLC, including familiarity with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.) and have experience designing and configuring controls hardware (enclosures, layout, HMI, wiring) for large-scale conveyor systems.

Electrical Engineer responsibilities include:
- Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per client application requirements
- Control panel design, including enclosure layouts, HMI/GUI design based on client requirements, PLC programming, and selection of manufacturing methods for customized automation systems
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams on a project basis: read mechanical drawings and understand their electrical requirements to create schematics
- Create specifications for graphical user interface (GUI) based on client requirements
- Supervise control system construction and installation at client sites
- Travel to customer sites facilities to supervise control system construction and installation, and provide technical support for modifications and troubleshooting
Electrical Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S) in Electrical Engineering or similar related field
- 5+ years of experience with controls design for conveyors in material handling or manufacturing industries preferred
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- Ability to travel for project installations
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required for project deadlines
