Do you love building things and solving problems? Spherion Staffing and Recruiting is looking for a hands-on Mechanical Specialist to bring expertise to an educational team focused on physics and engineering. This is a unique opportunity to apply your mechanical or electrical skills while helping the next generation of innovators bring their projects to life. This is a temporary position, working a Monday through Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Technical Support: Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical and electrical fixtures within labs.
- Mentor Participants: Guide novice users on how to safely and effectively use lab equipment.
- Create & Build: Utilize your skills in metalworking or woodworking to support research projects.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Metal or wood shop experience is a plus.
- Experience training novice users and working with college students is a plus.
