Complaint Resolution Specialist (6-Month Contract) Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)

Position Overview PEG’s financial services client is seeking a Complaint Resolution Specialist to provide additional support during a period of increased workload. This role is responsible for reviewing, investigating, and resolving client legal complaints while ensuring regulatory obligations are met. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, regulatory awareness, and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
Team & Department Impact This position sits within a group responsible for managing client legal complaints that may involve the firm, financial advisors, or branch office operations. The team ensures complaints are thoroughly evaluated, accurately documented, and appropriately reported to regulators to support compliance and risk management efforts.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes investigators, attorneys, data analysts, and operational partners in an environment that values teamwork, professionalism, and shared accountability.
Why This Role Exists Complaint volume peaks during tax season, creating the need for additional short-term support. This six-month contract role is designed to help the team manage workload demands while maintaining high standards of accuracy, responsiveness, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and investigate client legal complaints and prepare well-reasoned written responses
- Analyze complaint activity to identify trends and emerging risk indicators
- Draft and submit language for regulatory filings and disclosures
- Ensure all complaint handling aligns with applicable regulatory standards
- Assist with regulatory inquiries, examinations, arbitrations, litigation matters, and settlements
- Partner with attorneys, analysts, and fellow specialists to resolve matters efficiently
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (finance, accounting, or related field preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience handling or investigating legal or regulatory complaints
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements within a financial services environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to exercise sound judgment when assessing risk
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working independently while taking direction as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Experience with data analysis, trend reporting, or statistical review
- Securities licenses (Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 66)
- Prior experience in the financial services or securities industry
