The Crown Publishing Group is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join the Crown and Crown Currency imprints. As Marketing Assistant, you will report to the Vice President, Director of Marketing, while also working closely with core marketing team members to drive title promotions and develop and hone your skills. This position is responsible for helping to bring our publications to the largest possible readership through innovative marketing campaigns. This is a critical role in a creative and fast-paced group, working closely with many colleagues in other departments within the division, especially Publicity, Editorial, Sales, and Design. The role is ideal for someone who is a lover of books across fiction and non-fiction and is a solutions-focused innovative thinker, as well as a digital native who enjoys creating content that resonates across audiences, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time in a deadline-driven environment.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Perform essential marketing functions including research of influencers and organizations unique to each book, along with outreach and mailings to get books into taste-makers hands, as well as organizing Goodreads and reader promotions.
- Assist the Crown marketing team with day-to-day administrative and scheduling needs and help with handling monthly expense reports.
- Coordinate title-specific campaigns including digital outreach, digital content creation (author videos and editing of social media graphics), author platform building, consumer research projects, and audience development.
- Contribute content to e-newsletters, websites, social media platforms, and cross-promotional opportunities, to promote our titles and authors.

The position of Marketing Assistant, Crown and Crown Currency is a hybrid position with in-office responsibilities for a minimum of 3 days per week. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).
The salary for this position is $51,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
