JAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, with a wide range of products that feature some of the most popular brands and children's toy licenses in the world, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of
Senior Manager, Strategy and Analytics for our Corporate Headquarters in Santa Monica, California. This newly-created position will report directly to the CFO, while partnering closely with the rest of the finance team and the business broadly.
Responsibilities include:
Partnering with the CFO to accelerate the finance team’s ability to enable the company to grow revenues and profitability faster, by:
- Crafting insightful, replicable analyses to identify revenue and margin growth across brands, categories, channels and markets, through establishing unit volume targets, optimizing pricing and establishing appropriate cost control mechanisms.
- Partnering with functional teams to support and often create analytic frameworks to establish clear guidelines/playbooks for various operational initiatives, inclusive of ecommerce, single-site customer orders and inventory management
- Establishing consistent processes around performance measurement, dashboard metrics and other relevant key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Project managing corporate-level projects and initiatives across a wide range of areas, inclusive of deep dives into specific business areas, international expansion, as well as bolt-on technology assessment and implementation
- When appropriate, evaluating potential acquisition candidates, leading relevant analyses and building strategic rationale and integration plans
Skills & Experience required:
- Relevant experience includes:
- Successful experience with any and all of the Essential Functions, particularly in a consumer-centric environment
- Strategy/management consulting, particularly with a consumer/retail focus
- Generating insights to improve decision-making at all levels of the organization
- E-Commerce
- Finance Transformation Projects
- Licensing, Joint Venture, Franchise and Distribution business models
- Competitive analysis & benchmarking
- MBA or related certification
- Global business experience: familiarity with consumer retail environment, globally
- Foreign language skills, plus
- Passion for the toys/entertainment/kid-targeted consumer product industries, a plus
- Highly analytical
- Accustomed to working independently and managing up, down and across an organization
- Capable of making a meaningful contribution without solid-line direct reports
- Accustomed to working at a fast pace; expert in assessing a situation, making a decision, and filtering ambiguity into actionable key next steps and decisions that need to be taken
- Comfortable and adept at making the complex simple.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of establishing strong working partnerships with all functions within the organization
- Embraces establishing new processes and being an agent of change
- Collaborative leader with exceptional influencing skills and experience working across many areas and levels of an organization
- Ability to execute against time-sensitive data requests, working with internal and external stakeholders
- Outstanding written communication skills: clear and concise, particularly presentation decks

- Compensation: JAKKS Pacific offers a competitive salary. Compensation for this role is commensurate with experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $125,000 to $175,000 annually.
