Sales Assistant – Karl Lagerfeld Outerwear
Reporting To: Vice President
Brand/Product Focus: Karl Lagerfeld | Outerwear
Location (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District
Position Summary
The Sales Assistant supports the Karl Lagerfeld Outerwear wholesale team by providing essential administrative, operational, and account-level support. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented candidate eager to learn the wholesale business from the ground up. The Sales Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day account operations, accurate order processing, and strong cross-functional communication.
Key Responsibilities
Account & Sales Support
- Manage departmental administrative tasks including maintaining account lists, updating account profiles, and supporting PO log management.
- Facilitate communication between clients and the account management team related to in-store events, performance tracking, and sales initiatives.
- Coordinate New York market appointments and assist with wholesale calendar planning.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute selling reports for major accounts.
- Manage seasonal order confirmations and ensure weekly shipping updates are delivered accurately and on time.
- Review vendor orders for accuracy and assist with order processing, EDI confirmations, and shipment tracking.
Sample & Showroom Management
- Manage advertising and showroom samples, ensuring accurate tracking and organization.
- Coordinate sample requests for special events, photo shoots, and advertising needs.
- Maintain showroom organization and presentation standards.
Logistics & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with the Logistics team to ensure timely communication with clients regarding order processing, delivery timelines, and shipping needs.
- Support internal teams to ensure smooth execution of wholesale operations.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Business, Fashion, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- 0–2 years of experience in fashion, wholesale, or retail operations.
- Strong Excel proficiency and data organization skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Compensation
Hourly Position (Annualized Range): $28.85 - $31.25/hr
(Based on a 40-hour work week)
