We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of electrical systems and be capable of working on both high and low voltage projects. This role involves performing installations, renovations, and maintenance tasks in various settings, including commercial construction sites. The Journeyperson Electrician will ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) while delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with NEC standards.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Work with logic controllers for automation systems as required.
- Conduct high voltage and low voltage installations safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Renovate existing electrical systems to enhance functionality or meet updated codes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Document work performed and report any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid electrician's license or certification as a Journeyperson Electrician.
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical theory and practices.
- Proficient in using various hand tools and testing equipment related to electrical work.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards in the electrical industry.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting throughout the day.
