Job Description
The Drilling & Completions HSE Consultant provides on-site safety leadership and oversight for drilling and completion operations. This role supports safe execution of field activities by promoting health, safety, and environmental best practices, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, and reinforcing a strong safety culture. The position works closely with field personnel and contractors to identify risks, prevent incidents, and support continuous improvement in operational safety performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site HSE oversight for drilling and completion activities
- Promote and reinforce safe work practices, hazard awareness, and risk mitigation
- Conduct field safety observations, inspections, and audits
- Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job safety analyses
- Verify compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Support incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action tracking
- Serve as a safety resource for rig and service company personnel
- Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and recommend corrective actions
- Support emergency response preparedness and drills
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation and field reports
- Promote continuous improvement in HSE performance and safety culture
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles supporting drilling and completion operations
- Strong working knowledge of drilling and completion activities and associated risks
- Demonstrated ability to influence safe behaviors in high-risk operational environments
- Proven experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Solid understanding of regulatory and industry HSE standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Consistent and stable work history with demonstrated reliability
- Positive professional references supporting prior HSE performance
- Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills
Job Details:
Pay: $1100/per day
Schedule: 14 days on/14 days off
Location: Midland, TX
Pay: $110.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
