Job Overview
We are seeking a Engineering Manager-Renewable to support the design of code-compliant solar PV systems for rooftops, carports, and ground-mount installations (50 kW–2 MW). This is a hybrid role with 30% travel.
JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all stages of multiple projects and project engineering, including conceptual and advanced system design, observing regulatory codes, customer requirements, balance of systems, site visits, permitting and technical support during construction phase;
- Extensive technical experiences on photovoltaic and energy storage projects;
- Supervise the technical planning for contract preparation;
- Report on the planning and technical design, and present it the engineering group;
- Responsible for reporting the planning process to the client;
- Preparation of technical documentation in the quoting process;
- Develop the planning abilities and processes within the team;
- Work in a team to develop and improve the system standards;
- Assist with technical training for team members and development of new project engineers;
- Build a quality culture of continuous improvement that enhances company efficiency and engineering quality;
- Establish metrics to quantitatively characterize project engineering status for the full life cycle of the projects;
- Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
- Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating battery storage (BESS) with commercial solar systems.
- Familiarity with permitting processes
- Prior field experience (e.g., site assessments or installation support).
- Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Energytoolbase, Helioscope, Utility API, etc.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
