We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team and lead our irrigation department. As an Irrigation Lead, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for gardens and lawns, start-ups and backflow testing, and blow outs. This role requires hands-on work with both hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to dig and build and design irrigation systems in various landscapes. Possible running of excavators and track loaders a huge plus. Will contact you for a phone interview followed by in person interview. $38-40/HOUR TO START
Duties
- Install and maintain irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Dig trenches for irrigation lines, ensuring proper placement and depth.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall landscape plans.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with irrigation equipment and implement solutions promptly.
- Educate clients on proper irrigation practices to promote healthy garden and lawn care.
- Must be able to take inventory and stock trailer and truck with materials.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to irrigation systems is essential.
- Backflow certification
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid, clean driver license
