About the Role
H&P has been mandated by a leading Private Equity fund to appoint an Associate. This is a rare opportunity to join a specialist investment platform focused on long-term investing within the lower middle market across the US and Canada.
The firm manages over $2.5 billion of committed capital across multiple funds and specialises in middle-market healthcare services and life sciences businesses. It partners with high-quality management teams to build scalable platforms through operational improvement and strategic growth initiatives. The firm is currently deploying capital from its latest fund vintage, pursuing a disciplined, value-oriented investment strategy with a long-term ownership mindset. It maintains a diversified portfolio and a strong track record of consistent, top-tier private equity returns.
This hire is critical to the continued growth of the Long-Term Hold strategy. The Analyst will play a central role in underwriting, execution, and portfolio engagement, working closely with senior investors and management teams.
Position: Analyst
Location: Greenwich, CT - most of the team being NYC based and commuting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis, financial modelling, and market research for potential long-term investments
- Underwrite industries and companies, developing clear investment theses and “what you need to believe” frameworks
- Lead and summarise expert calls and third-party diligence processes
- Prepare investment committee materials, internal memos, and deal analysis documentation
- Engage directly with CEOs, management teams, and co-investors, supporting portfolio initiatives and internal strategy projects
What You Bring
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in healthcare investment banking.
- Direct M&A deal experience, including diligence, financial modelling, valuation, and investment committee preparation
- Strong technical skills across financial modelling, company analysis, and industry underwriting
- A commercial, intellectually honest, and collaborative approach, with the confidence to contribute meaningfully in a flat team structure
- Undergraduate degree required
