We are seeking an exceptional Summer Analyst to join our Private Capital Markets team in New York.
The Summer Analyst will join our highly collaborative team responsible for originating, structuring, and distributing privately negotiated financing solutions for global corporations, financial institutions, and infrastructure projects. The group specializes in private capital raises, which include senior common and preferred equity raises for growth equity, dividend recapitalization, and acquisition financing purposes.

Our 10-week internship program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in investment banking with an emphasis on private capital markets. The program includes formal training, mentoring programs, networking and social events, community service events, and a strategic advisory project that provide our interns with a unique experience and an invaluable look into our culture and the investment banking business.
The Summer Analyst will become an important member of our deal teams and work as a junior analyst on a variety of interesting strategic advisory assignments. As a member of the Private Capital Markets team at Guggenheim, the Summer Analyst will have significant exposure to senior bankers, private equity sponsors, and institutional investors as well as the ability to create meaningful relationships with junior bankers.

Essential Job Functions
- Support deal teams in the execution of a broad range of financing and advisory mandates
- Support deal teams in analyzing industry and company-specific information, including detailed research and analysis of global institutional investors
- Conduct research and analysis of trends in the Private Capital Markets
- Prepare client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers and accountants
- Work closely with industry teams as needed to support successful deal completion
- Involvement in all aspects of deal preparation and execution

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong interest in problem solving and client services
- Resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in finance
- Desire to join a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial platform
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Significant level of maturity and the ability to work under pressure as a part of a small team with top company executives and senior management
- Highly organized with the initiative and ability to multitask and work with limited supervision on a team
Basic Qualifications
- Must be on track to receive Bachelors, Masters, or equivalent degree by December 2027 or Spring 2028.
Salary Details
- A salary based on an annual rate of $110,000 per year.
- The base salary amount represents the anticipated salary for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The salary listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
