We are looking for a leader - An experienced marketing pro who can masterfully balance detailed organization, confident leadership of a team, and financial industry creativity - along with the agility needed to create & manage success and scale at an RIA firmly in growth mode. The ideal candidate is in the "growth and leaning mode" in their career, as our firm is in learning and growth mode, too.
JOB SUMMARY
This is a senior level position reporting directly to the CEO. In this role, you would collaborate with senior management and lead the marketing team to create and oversee marketing, advertising & communications for our company. You would co-lead the promotion of the brands and products we represent. We have 3 main brands, multiple target audiences, and multiple products. Additional responsibilities include the development, implementation, measurement, and presentation of marketing and communication efforts in various mediums including digital, print and broadcast communications - aka "traditional", "digital", and "video" techniques. At GLW, we may plan and host a "traditional, elegant, in person" marketing event for either a small group or even hundreds our high-end clients in our community. At the same time, we may envision, create and distribute national "digital ads for the nextgen investor" via social media. We also rely heavily on data - from pre-project budgets, deliverables, analysis of projects & KPIs, etc. We create and examine WoW, MoM, QoQ, and YoY reports. An expertise in budgets, spending/contracts, and managing vendor relationships is required, too. Managing multiple projects - and people - on a daily basis is a significant requirement for this position. Constantly working with our marketing team and our outsourced partners - along with our senior management - on strategic initiatives, communication plans, deliverables, and evaluation will be an on-going expectation.
EDUCATIONAL/ SKILL SET & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in marketing, communications, business administration or related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing communications, public relations, community relations, or advertising
- Marketing experience in Wealth Management or Financial Services a plus
- Experience managing and executing across various communications media
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Strong background in spreadsheet creation and management, along with budgets, analysis, and presentations
- Extensive successful writing and editing experience - with a variety of print and online communications media
- Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing programs to advance the companies missions and goals
- Creative and thoughtful on how new media technologies can be utilized
- Self-starter, willing to execute day-to-day tasks and work independently and outside the traditional 8-5 office hours, on occasion & as needed
- Extensive Experience with Microsoft office and/or Google Business Suite, Slack, WordPress, Constant Contact, Canva, Adobe, and other digital marketing platforms & tools such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, YouTube Studio, Semrush, and others
- Experience with all major social media platforms, including: YouTube, Meta/Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, Apple podcasts & iHeart Media
- Ability to prioritize, complete tasks rapidly, efficiently, & effectively and follow-up
PRIMARY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES (others may be assigned).
- Determine communications strategy and execute programs to deliver communications objectives throughout the company
- Develop branding initiatives, communications, and social media strategy
- Responsible for strategic direction and execution of all internal and external communications
- Evaluate & update internet sites developing and maintaining content
- Recruit, lead, and evaluate marketing support personnel - full-time, part-time, and contract employees - for a wide variety of projects including print materials, website design & maintenance, social media posting, traditional events, booth exhibits and other similar activities
- Knowledge and ability to be successful at creating content in-house, as needed
- Create and/or update collateral materials promoting the company’s services
- Work with vendors to outsource projects and complete jobs internally, when necessary
- Constantly learn, explore, recommend, use and optimize communication methods, vehicles and technologies to engage with various audiences, particularly as part of fully integrated demand generation campaigns - particularly for a financial services or RIA firm
- Create annual budgets and report budgetary expenses related to the company to the CMO and GLW Management, on a monthly basis
- Evaluate and report on-going marketing campaigns to senior management on an on-going basis
- Work closely with our CEO and the marketing team on multiple projects and initiatives on an on-going basis
