Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Development Engineer to design and support advanced electro-mechanical input devices used in regulated industrial, defense, and medical environments. This individual will play a key role in developing rugged, high-precision human-machine interface (HMI) solutions from concept through production. The ideal candidate brings strong PCB design expertise, hands-on prototyping experience, and a solid understanding of compliance-driven manufacturing standards.
Job Responsibilities -
- Create and improve electro-mechanical interface products across multiple application sectors.
- Translate product requirements into complete electrical designs and hardware documentation.
- Develop ruggedized and environmentally protected assemblies for demanding operating conditions.
- Execute PCB design and sensor integration using sound electrical engineering principles.
- Oversee hands-on prototype development and structured product validation testing.
- Apply regulatory knowledge to ensure products meet industry safety and quality standards.
- Partner with internal engineering and production teams to support seamless product integration.
- Document all design activities to support audits, quality systems, and production readiness.
Job Requirements -
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
- At least three years of experience developing hardware for regulated industrial or medical applications.
- Skilled in electronic design software and mechanical CAD tools.
- Practical understanding of embedded electronics, sensing technologies, and board-level development.
- Knowledge of quality systems and compliance standards relevant to medical and industrial equipment.
- Experience supporting prototype builds, validation testing, and production transfer activities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel in support of project and customer needs.
