Unique Moving and Storage, a family-owned and operated full-service moving and storage company with over 35 years of experience in Ventura County, is seeking a dedicated Moving Consultant to join our team in Oxnard, CA. We're a small company with big ambitions, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us!
What You'll Do: Your Role as a Moving Consultant
As a Moving Consultant, you'll be the friendly voice of Unique Moving and Storage, guiding customers through their moving journey. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Answering inbound calls from customers seeking moving and storage services. No cold calling – ever!
- Gathering detailed information about their moving needs and entering it directly into our CRM software while on the call.
- Creating accurate and competitive estimates to sell our services and book moves.
- Conducting warm follow-up calls with previous customers and those with pending inquiries.
- Making warm outreach calls to local businesses with clients who may need moving services.
- Following established processes and procedures to ensure a seamless customer experience.
What We're Looking For: Are You the Right Fit?
We're seeking a candidate who is:
- Exceptional on the phone: You enjoy talking to people, have a positive attitude, and possess professional phone etiquette.
- Tech-savvy: You're highly proficient with a computer and iPad, can type accurately while talking on the phone using a headset (no handwritten notes!), and are comfortable with Google Docs, calendar, email, and basic spreadsheet software.
- A strong communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with proficient spelling and grammar.
- Detail-oriented and organized: You can multitask effectively, prioritize tasks, and manage your time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Goal-driven and coachable: The moving industry is competitive, so a desire to learn, grow, and achieve targets is key. We'll provide all the training you need!
- Accountable: You take ownership of your work and are committed to continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service, sales, or management experience is a plus!
- Ability to work part-time, Monday through Friday.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly pay: Base pay is at $17.00 per hour as a Moving Consultant.
- Significant earning potential: Beyond your hourly rate, you'll have the opportunity for monthly bonuses that can boost your effective hourly pay to $25+ per hour! We'll discuss these exciting details during your interview.
- Paid training and equipment provided: We'll equip you with all the necessary computer equipment (monitors, headset, etc.) and provide comprehensive, paid training.
- Paid sick leave after a 90-day probation period.
- Flexible time off when needed.
- Future work-from-home potential: Your first 60-90+ days will be in our Oxnard office for hands-on training (approximately 3-4 days a week, 10 AM - 2PM). After successful completion of training, there's the potential to transition to a hybrid work-from-home and in-office schedule.
