🚀Consulting Lead – Strategic Accounts
📍 NYC / NJ / Boston / DC/ Philadelphia (East Coast flexibility)
💰 $150k–$165k base - There is NO sales-related commission with this role, as it is not a traditional sales job.
This is a ground-floor, US expansion role inside a globally respected fintech that has already proven itself internationally, and is now building its East Coast presence from scratch.
The US team is currently lean. You would be one of the first commercial hires shaping how this business wins in North America.
The Opportunity
- You’ll operate at the front end of enterprise banking conversations.
- Not cold calling.
- Not chasing short SaaS deals.
- Not transactional.
Instead, you’ll:
- Lead discovery workshops with senior stakeholders at banks
- Shape multi-year transformation conversations
- Work closely with partners and consulting firms
- Define market entry strategy for specific banking segments
- Help determine which clients the business should (and shouldn’t) pursue
Sales cycles are complex. 18–24 months is normal, and as a result, this role is for someone who enjoys thinking strategically, not just hitting activity metrics.
Who This Suits
- 4–6 years in consulting (Big 4 / strategy / boutique)
- Exposure to banking technology transformation programs
- Experience advising retail banks, investment banks, or financial institutions
- Smart, structured thinker who can handle ambiguity
- Strong communicator who can sit confidently with senior banking stakeholders
- You don’t need to be a hardened sales closer.
- You need to be intellectually credible and commercially curious.
Why This Is Exciting
- You’ll help define the US go-to-market model
- You’ll be in the first 5–10 hires on the ground
- You’ll work directly with senior leadership
- You’ll have real influence, not just territory ownership
This is a rare chance to move from consulting into a commercially strategic role, without giving up intellectual depth.
If you want predictable SaaS sales, this isn’t it.
If you want to help build something meaningful in US fintech, let’s talk.
