Job Posting – Data Engineer Lead (Syniti ADM for SAP)
Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite – 100%)
Duration: 12+ Months
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data conversion activities (scope, extract, cleanse, map, load)
- Migrate master & transactional data from legacy platforms to SAP
- Design and implement ETL/ELT processes for SAP migration
- Develop automation scripts using Python, PySpark, SQL, Spark
- Work hands-on with Syniti ADM for SAP (Expert level required)
- Ensure data quality, eliminate duplication, enforce governance controls
- Create and maintain data mapping & transformation documentation
- Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams
- Monitor and improve data quality rules and dashboards
- Support SAP ERP implementations (S/4HANA preferred)
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years overall IT experience
- 4+ years in Data Engineering / Software Development
- Strong experience in SAP data migration projects (at least 1–2 implementations)
- Expert-level experience in Syniti ADM for SAP
Experience working with legacy systems:
- PeopleSoft
- BAAN
- Infor LN
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Python / PySpark / Pandas
- SQL / PLSQL
- Data Quality tools (Informatica DQ / Talend DQ / Atacama)
Experience in Azure or AWS:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Functions
- Synapse
- ADLS
- AWS Glue
