DESIGN SPECIALIST
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, peers and managers relating to issues, progress, status and solution.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and team projects.
- Own the customer experience throughout the entire lifecycle of the relationship.
- Assist in the design of equipment requirements to meet customer expectations.
- Determine best course of action for customer requests.
- Receive, document, coordinate and complete the following business transactions and requests accurately:- Drawings and related requests
- Quotes and related requests
- Information requests
- Work within the Unified Brand team to balance responsibilities and share information.
- Coordinate on time delivery of products and services accurately and timely as defined in established policies, procedures, and directives.
- Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with assigned accounts.
- Support Senior Design Specialist as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Manager or Director of Customer Support.
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- AutoCAD and blueprint reading skills
- Basic math skills
- Proper telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency
- Ability to coordinate with various levels of management within different functional areas
- Experience with MS Office
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Basic knowledge of UL and NSF requirements
- Knowledge of product fabrication process
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
Education And Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Associates degree in a business or technical field or three years in a technical role supporting a fabrication process preferred
- Previous AutoCAD experience
- Prefer previous experience in a technical role supporting a fabrication process
