Tasveer is an Oscar® Qualifying South Asian Film Festival dedicated to inspiring social change through films, art, and storytelling. With a mission to foster dialogue and build a just society, Tasveer celebrates the diverse cultures of South Asia, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Tibet, and Sri Lanka. The organization supports filmmakers and storytellers by providing a platform and funding to amplify marginalized voices. Role Description
This is a volunteer hybrid role for a Graphic Designer based in the Greater Seattle Area, with flexibility for remote work. The Graphic Designer will create visually compelling content, including graphics, logos, and branding elements, to support the missions of Tasveer and Tasveer Film Center. They will collaborate with the team to refine branding guidelines, design materials for events and campaigns, and ensure brand consistency across platforms.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Graphic Design and the ability to create visually appealing graphics.
- Experience with Logo Design, Branding, and Typography.
- Ability to work PST time zones. Flexible and open to feedback.
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills to communicate ideas effectively.
- Proficiency in design software such as Canva and/or similar tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt designs based on feedback.
- Knowledge of South Asian culture or interest in storytelling and social change is a plus.
- Previous experience with non-profit organizations or cultural initiatives is desirable.
