Job Description
We’re looking for a creative, organized, and motivated Junior Design Assistant to join our growing team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone early in their career who is excited to work in a collaborative design environment and gain exposure to every stage of the creative process — from concept development to production and client presentations.
The ideal candidate has a strong visual eye, enjoys working across multiple projects at once, and is eager to learn. You’ll support the design team with everything from mood boards and mockups to production files, project tracking and presentations, while also collaborating closely with production and marketing.
We’re a small, entrepreneurial company, and everyone pitches in when needed. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and an “all hands on deck” mentality who’s excited to grow with the company and be part of a creative, fast-moving environment.
You’ll work directly with and support the company’s Principal / Design Director, gaining meaningful experience and insight into both the creative and operational sides of the business.

What You’ll Do:
- Support rug design development through mood boards, sketches, color palettes, and visual research
- Create and update technical design files and production specifications
- Serve as a liaison with the production department to help streamline the design process from concept through execution
- Design digital mockups, visual presentations, and client-facing materials
- Assist with product photography, photo editing, and marketing assets
- Organize and maintain the company’s digital asset library and design archives
- Collaborate across production, sales, and marketing teams to support company initiatives and project needs
- Assist with general creative, organizational, and operational tasks in support of the studio
- Provide occasional front-of-house and administrative support when the Office Manager is out, including greeting clients, answering phones, assisting with scheduling, and helping maintain daily studio operations
- Assist with day-to-day office operations and client hospitality when needed, particularly during coverage gaps due to vacations, illness, or staff absences
Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of design experience (internships count!)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign),and Microsoft Suite
- Strong eye for color, layout, and composition
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate across departments
- Positive, proactive, and eager-to-learn attitude
- Interest in textiles, interiors, hospitality design, or handcrafted products is a plus
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced creative environment
- Must reside in or near Miami, FL, with the ability to commute to the office daily. This position is on site.
