We are looking for a (Senior) Consultant Sustainability and Climate to join our small but mighty U.S. team based in New York, NY or remote. We are seeking a technical expert who is keen to make a strong contribution to our growing New York team, while upholding the highest quality standards.
How you’ll make a difference
You will advise our clients across CPG, food & beverage, technology, and other manufacturing industries on their most pressing sustainability challenges with a distinct focus on carbon accounting and climate risk. Over time, you will gain expose in additional service areas and help advance our proven methodologies and go-to-market approaches.
Projects typically include
- Carbon Accounting and GHG Inventory: You will also help companies understand their carbon footprint including scopes 1, 2 and 3 in line with the GHG Protocol and prepare companies for SBTi-aligned goal setting.
- Climate Risk: You will assess climate risk, including through scenario analyses, addressing physical and transition risk. You will enable clients to report in line with voluntary and mandatory reporting standards.
- Sustainability Disclosures – You will prepare sustainability disclosures in line with EU and US regulations, such as CSRD, California SB-253 and SB-261 as well as voluntary standards (ISSB/SASB, GRI, ESG raters).
- Sustainability Strategy and Responsible Sourcing – You will also have an opportunity to support projects outside of the climate vertical, which may include sustainability strategy projects (e.g. materiality analyses, goal setting), Sustainability Disclosures (e.g. impact reports, ESG raters) and/or responsible sourcing projects (e.g. risk management, process optimization, supplier engagement).
- Travel as needed (approx. 10%).
What will make you thrive in this role
We are looking for an individual with strong technical proficiency in carbon accounting across scopes 1, 2 and 3. Experience in climate risk management is a strong plus.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, engineering, natural sciences, or related fields,
- 2-4 years (5+ years for Senior Consultant) of progressive experience in sustainability management, ideally in a corporate sustainability function or specialized consulting firm,
- Deep technical expertise in US and EU sustainability regulations, including CSRD and the California climate bills,
- Strong familiarity with sustainability standards, data sets, and reporting frameworks, including the GHG Protocol, LSRS, SBTi, CDP, ISSB/SASB,
- Hands-on experience in setting science-based targets is a plus,
- Advanced Excel, GHG accounting software, and ideally modelling skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines,
- Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at every level and communicate findings in an appropriate manner.

- Fair Compensation: The base salary for this position is expected to be between $60,000 and $95,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to skills, education, experience and geography, and is only part of the total compensation package, which, may also include discretionary bonuses and company-sponsored benefit programs.
