Summary:
We are seeking a highly capable Assistant Project Manager/Estimator with proven experience in estimating, permitting, CAD design & project coordination for civil and marine construction projects. This role is for a self-starter who can take ownership of projects from pre-construction through permitting and field coordination.
This is not an entry level position. This is a leadership-track position. We are looking for someone who can operate independently, think critically, and support project delivery at a high level.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed material takeoffs and prepare competitive cost estimates
- Develop and submit bid proposals
- Coordinate with cities, counties, government agencies and engineers
- Manage permitting processes from start to finish
- Schedule inspections and track approvals
- Create and modify construction drawings using CAD programs
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
- Track budgets, schedules and change orders
- Support team from start to finish
Requirements:
If you have not independently handled estimates and permitting before, this is NOT the right fit.
- 3+ years experience in civil construction project management and estimating
- Experience in marine construction preferred
- Strong knowledge of permitting processes in Florida
- Must be able to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Proficienct in CAD software
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills needed
- Proficient in Excel and estimating/takeoff software
- Valid driver’s license

Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
