Payroll Analyst
What We Need
CORPAY is currently looking to hire a Payroll Analyst within our Payroll division. This position falls under our Human Resources line of business and is located in Covington, LA. In this role, you will report directly to Payroll Director and regularly collaborate with teams and departments.

As a Payroll Analyst, you will be expected to work in an office environment. CORPAY will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
• Timekeeper processing, adjusting hourly timesheets or salaried PTO request per management approval during the entire payroll cycle for the US and Canadian Payroll
• Payroll processing for US and Canada, will coordinate with the payroll team on data entry input for salaried and hourly employees that will include, but is not limited to bonuses, incentives, housing allowances, stocks and severance payouts. Will collaborate closely with managers and employee experience team to ensure accurate and timely payouts in accordance with federal, state, local, municipal and provincial guideline. Support the payroll team as needed and related to assigned duties.
• Support Payroll Director in providing bi-monthly and monthly payroll reports to the individual lines of business.
• Support Payroll Director in the month-end close activities, including timely preparation of journal entries that includes but is not limited to capex reporting, accruals, benefit analysis and true-up adjustments. Will also assist initially in basic account reconciliations with progression to more advanced reconciliations.
• Supports Payroll Director in prompt response to provide additional support for preliminary month-end financial review and flux explanations as needed.
• Support Payroll Director in Dayforce support log that includes but is not limited to setting up tax codes, logged tickets and quarterly statement management.
• Ensure collaboration with all lines of business for an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
• Continually evaluate and optimize processes to deliver process automation and improved accuracy.
• Support Payroll Director in audit requests from both internal and external auditors.
• Coordinate with other team members within department to ensure accuracy of payroll processing and report.
• Participate in any payroll training as required to perform related duties:
Qualifications & Skills
• Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively communicate to all levels of an organization when necessary.
• Ability to coordinate and work within a team.
• Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines timely and accurately in a high pace environment.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented individual with the ability to see the big picture.
• Desire to work in a complex, large scale payroll department.
• The right person will be ambitious and flexible who wants to learn and grow professionally.

• Basic Microsoft Suite required.
Ideal Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related experience
• 0-2 years of previous experience in accounting roles
• Understanding of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Dayforce, D365 and Workday experience a plus
