Ready for a career glow up? As Associate Editor, Social Production, you'll be transforming raw footage into compelling social-first video content that captivates our audience. The work you do will impact beauty, as you bring our brand's narrative to life through visually stunning and engaging storytelling across social media platforms. What You'll Do
- Social-First Video Editing. Edit and assemble raw video footage into polished, engaging, and on-trend content optimized for various social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), demonstrating a keen understanding of platform nuances and audience preferences.
- Retouching & Visual Enhancement. Apply basic retouching techniques to enhance the visual appeal of videos, ensuring high-quality presentation of products and talent.
- Special Effects & Motion Graphics. Incorporate existing motion graphics and visual elements to create visually dynamic and captivating video content, contributing fresh ideas for visual storytelling.
- Social Storytelling. Cross-functionally contribute compelling narratives that align with Sephora's brand voice and resonate with our target audience on social media, bringing an intuitive understanding of viral content and emerging trends.
- Trend Savvy & Innovation. Proactively stay up to date with the latest social media trends, video editing techniques, and platform-specific best practices, actively experimenting with new video formats, features, and editing approaches to push creative boundaries and drive engagement.
- Collaboration & Optimization. Work closely with Social Content Leads, Social Producers, and other team members to align video content with campaign objectives and brand strategies, while optimizing content for different platforms considering specific aspect ratios, resolutions, and formatting requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Video Editing Experience. 1-2 years of relevant experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in social video creation through projects, personal content, internships, or freelance work that demonstrates a strong grasp of social video aesthetics and trends.
- Technical Proficiency. Proficiency or strong familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and/or similar tools, plus experience with creating and implementing special effects and motion graphics.
- Social Media Expertise. Deep intuitive understanding of current social media platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) and their content ecosystems, with a proven ability to identify and interpret emerging trends.
- Creative Storytelling Talent. Natural talent for creative storytelling with strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Collaborative Spirit. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines, with experience using tools such as One Drive, Monday, Smartsheet, and Frame.io.
- Bilingual Skills (Preferred). Bilingual in Spanish, preferred but not required.
What You’ll Get
The annual base salary range for this position is $71,000.00 - $79,990.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. This job will be posted for a minimum of five days.
