Role Overview
Safetrust is seeking a highly strategic, technically strong Sales Engineer to support a dedicated global strategic account. This role will serve as the primary technical advisor and solution architect for one of Safetrust’s most important enterprise customers.
The Sales Engineer will partner closely with the Account Executive and Customer Success teams to drive expansion, ensure technical alignment, and accelerate deployment success. This is a high-visibility role requiring deep technical acumen, executive presence, and the ability to influence stakeholders across security, IT, facilities, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Technical Leadership
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for the assigned strategic account.
- Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders including CISO, IT leadership, security operations, and facilities management.
- Lead discovery sessions to understand customer architecture, security requirements, and business objectives.
- Translate business needs into scalable Safetrust solution designs.
Pre-Sales & Expansion Support
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Professional Services to ensure successful delivery.
- Escalate and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Provide feedback to Product Management based on customer needs.
Thought Leadership
- Stay current on identity standards, access control trends, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Position Safetrust as a long-term strategic identity platform partner.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Consulting.
- Experience supporting large enterprise or global strategic accounts.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Physical Access Control Systems (PACS)
- Mobile credentialing
- Cloud-based SaaS architectures
- Familiarity with authentication protocols
- Experience working with cybersecurity and enterprise IT teams.
- Excellent presentation skills, including executive-level communication.
- Ability to travel as required for strategic engagement.
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related technical field.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification.
- Experience in physical security or digital identity industries.
- Knowledge of HID, Lenel, Genetec, or similar access control systems.
- Experience with mobile SDK integrations.
- Background in enterprise architecture or security engineering.
