Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled VDC Specialist with 5+ years of experience in Revit modeling and management across multiple trades, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), structural, and piping systems. This role is critical to producing accurate, coordinated models that support both design and construction teams with high-quality, field-ready deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed Revit models for MEP, structural, and piping systems.
- Create and maintain fabrication-level drawings and coordination models.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure model accuracy and constructability.
- Integrate point cloud data from 3D scans into Revit models for as-built and retrofit documentation.
- Support clash detection, quantity takeoffs, and construction sequencing.
- Assist in field verification and coordination with drone and scanning teams.
- Maintain modeling standards and documentation across multiple projects.
- Utilize Autodesk tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Navisworks, and AutoCAD for collaboration, issue tracking, and model management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in Revit modeling, with a focus on MEP, structural, and piping systems.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and coordination workflows.
- Proficiency in Autodesk tools including Revit, ACC, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with scan-to-BIM workflows and point cloud integration.
- Participation in BIM coordination meetings and use of issue tracking platforms (e.g., Procore, ACC Model Coordination, Revizto).
- Familiarity with construction site operations and VDC implementation.
- Experience with Dynamo or Revit API scripting is a plus.
