We are a small firm that is looking to add an experienced electrical engineer. The work will mostly consist of designing PCBs for embedded systems; designs to include: high speed signals including USB 3.2, HDMI, LVDS, etc. Problem solving and debugging skills are critical. This position will be working with mechanical engineers and other teams to create products, strong interpersonal skills are desirable.
You must be willing to work in the world of firearms and lethal military systems. If the idea of shooting machineguns and driving HMMWVs and eating BBQ doesn't sound interesting, this probably is not the job for you.
Requirements:
- You MUST be a US citizen (Due to ITAR)
- No criminal record
- In person work only (Carson City, NV)
- Okay working directly with police and military units and military weapons
- 5-10% time traveling
Qualifications:
- BS / MS in Electrical Engineering or similar + 2 years experience in relevant field
- OR 5+ years experience in relevant field
- Able to work on own with little or no supervision
- Able to debug and problem solve with little or no escalation
- Able to use testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
- Eager to work hard
- Willing to work long days / weeks
- Willing to work in cool or warm environments (NV weather)
- Enjoys working with and around military weapons
- Not a psychopath
- Eligible and willing to get a NV CCW
Helpful / Ideally:
- 10+ years experience in PCB design manufacturing and debugging
- Experience with mechanical engineering / CAD
- Experience with software and firmware
- Prior military experience
