We are looking for a Business Analyst with direct Personal Lines Insurance experience to support business and technology initiatives across insurance platforms. To be successful in this role, candidates should have real working knowledge of Personal Lines products, policy lifecycle activities, and core insurance functions—not just general BA experience.
This role requires someone who understands how insurance processes work across new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements, and who can effectively support initiatives involving policy administration, billing, claims, underwriting, rating, API/data validation, and system enhancements. Candidates without meaningful Personal Lines / P&C insurance domain experience are unlikely to be a fit.
Required Skill
- Previous hands on experience in the Personal Lines Insurance domain including products such as Auto, Homeowners, Renters, or Umbrella.
- Strong understanding of insurance lifecycle processes including new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into clear functional specifications.
- Basic technical knowledge of JSON for reading and interpreting API payloads, Postman for API testing and validation, and SQL for writing select queries, joins, and filters to support data validation and analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving capability, and the ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
Desired Skill
- Experience supporting system configuration or enhancement initiatives within insurance platforms and exposure to cross functional collaboration with development and QA teams.
- Knowledge of data validation techniques and testing processes within enterprise systems will be beneficial.
- Experience documenting business processes and creating requirement artifacts such as process flows and test documentation will be an added advantage.
- Relevant certification in Business Analysis or Insurance domain practices will be considered beneficial.
Candidates with a passion for the insurance domain and a strong interest in driving business and technology collaboration are encouraged to apply for this opportunity.
